The Receiving Organic Waste step involves the collection and intake of organic waste at the composting facility. This process begins with the arrival of waste trucks or other delivery vehicles carrying organic material such as food scraps, leaves, grass clippings, and other biodegradable substances. Upon arrival, the weight and type of waste are recorded to track the quantity and composition of the incoming materials. The received waste is then unloaded from the delivery vehicle into a designated area within the facility. Next, the unloading process may involve manual or mechanical means, depending on the equipment available at the site. Once the waste has been transferred to the designated area, it is ready for further processing in the composting operation. This step marks the beginning of the decomposition process that will ultimately produce a nutrient-rich compost product.
